Anonymous asked: SPEAKING OF WEDDINGS how do you think the Karasuno boys +Kuroo +Iwa + Yaku would do at their wedding? Like, what theme (if any) would they pick, would they cry, first song (their song) vows, all that fun stuff, or as much as you want to do! soI may or may not have a whole pinterest board dedicated to Iwaizumi’s wedding Daichi would just be the most dapper looking groom. His shoulders would look so good inhis suit jacket and he’d probably have insisted that he wear a red tie becausehe thinks red isthe mostromantic color, He had a lot of fun romping around and catching up with his old friends, but when it came time to dance he found himself at a loss for words. He wanted to tell his partnerhow much he loved them and how happy he was to be finally married to them, but the words just wouldn’t come out. Then he remembered that they were dancing to‘Kiss Me’ by Ed Sheeran and decided that should get his emotions across. So he cupped their face in his hands and pressed his lips to theirs when the song was over, making everyone in the room cheer excitedly. Sugawould have the prettiest wedding the world has ever seen, let’s be honest. He would look even more angelic than usual, and so would his partner. Both the ceremony and reception would be held outdoors, in the shade of some trees that were strung with lights and white garland. The color scheme would be really simple, probably just white for the most part. Maybe a few pastels thrown in here or there. Suga would have a great time at his wedding, He'dwant to talk to everyone there and make sure everyone was having a good time. He’d be hugging his partner and making snarky comments the entire time Daichi gave his best man speech. He would literally be complimenting everyone. “Asahi that tie looks great!” “Yachi watch out you’re lookin’ like a twelve!“"You know TanakaI have a really cute cousin thatwould probably be really into how awesome you are, why don’t you go ask her to dance?” Like c'mon Suga, it’s your wedding day, focus on yourself for once. And everyone is telling him that, but every single time he just laughs nervously and resorts to kissing his partner on the forehead or wrapping in arm around them. He does listen to them however when they tell him how great he looks, especially when theywhisper it to him when they’re both dancing to‘Lucky’ by Jason Mraz. He’d hold their waist tighter and press his forehead against theirs while he tells them how beautiful they are and how much he loves them. And how happy he is to have gotten to marry his best friend. Asahiand his partner had waited a long time to get married, so he wasn’t nervous at all by the time the day had actually arrived. It surprised pretty much everyone because the man literally worried about buying the apples someone else wanted at the grocery store, but he was ready for this. His suit made him look confident at the ceremony and he was smiling like crazy at the reception. He had the top two buttons of his shirt undone because it was pretty warm outside, and he was couldn’t stop laughing and blushing because Noya and his partner had spent the last half an hour making him a flower crown out of the sunflowers and daisies that decorated the tables. He wore it happily and of course they both insisted that he would have to wear it for the rest of the night, which he really didn’t mind doing. It was a gift from the two most important people in his life, after all. Noya ended up as his best man, but both Yuu and Suga gave speeches. Nishinoya’s being mostly about how Asahi had made him a better person and Suga’s being about how thankful all of his friends were for him, even if they had to push him along a lot of the time. His partner spent the whole time giggling, watching as he tried and failed not to cry. Daichi decided that now was as good a time as any for your first dance, since Asahi was already rocking the waterworks, and pushed the both of you up and out of your seats. ‘Nothing I’ve Ever Known’ by Bryan Adams started playing and it felt really appropriate for their little outdoor reception, Asahi thought. Almost as right as his partner pressing their cheek against his chest. Nishinoya’s entire wedding was morelike a giant partythan anything else. The reception was brightly decorated with orange and yellow flowers, Noya even stuck some in his partner’s hair for good measure. He behaved a lot better than everyone thought he would the entire day. He was patient and quiet when needed be, but his enthusiastic personality shown through at all the right moments. Making everyone laugh and his partner blush furiously on more occasions than one. He’d winked at them right before they said ‘I do,’ carried them down the steps of the church, and dunked their nose in the wedding cake. They couldn’t expect him to not be playful all day though, and they thoroughly enjoyed it. Noya wasn’t about to let his reception be boring, so he made sure that everyone, including Asahi, was up and dancing or doing something most of the time. He kept his orange tie loose around his neck for most of the night, grinning happily when Daichi commented about how it matched his old libero jersey. Tanaka’s speech made him laugh, his nose crinkled up in joy at all the inside jokes woven throughout it. Daichi has to interrupt more than once to express the actual distress the two had caused him back in the day, and how happy he was that Noya’s partner was finally responsible for him. because he’s a dork. Red and white makefor a pretty classy wedding arrangement though, so his partner was more than happy with it. Other than the colors he was pretty laid back with the rest of the planning process, letting his partner do as they pleased. As far as he was concerned as long as he was marrying you and Suga was the best man, he had nothing to worry about. It would be a pretty typical wedding, with the ceremony some place official like a church/temple and the reception at a beautifully decorated restaurant hall. He’d be really happy to have all of his family there, as well as his close friends. Seeing all his old teammates together at the same time would probably make him more emotional than it should have, making hispartner joke about how he was more happy to see them than to get married. They’d endup takinga lot of cute pictures together that his partner would want to keep. There was one of Noya and Tanaka trying to pick Daichi up, Suga putting Daichi in a headlock and Kageyama was even in the background grinning. And of course one of Hinata giving his old captain bunny ears while he kissed his newly wed partner.
Noya had been really excited to help plan the wedding, and he’d had an active role in helping to decide on most things. And that included the wedding song, which he was pretty happy with. He was really happy with dancing to ‘1, 2, 3, 4′ by the Plain White Ts when it was actually happening though. He thought it was just different enough to suit his liking, and all the words were definitely describing the way he felt about his partner.
Tanaka would have a fun summer wedding. He’d be nervous at the actual ceremony but totally relaxed at his reception. It would be outside and it would almost resemble a massive, formal, outdoor barbeque. Tanaka and hispartner wantedevery one feel comfortable, so the invitation had included the recommendationof bringing sneakers. Tanaka spent a lotof time goofing around with the kids in attendance, even bragging to them about how great it was to be married to his partner. They were totally grossed out by the mention of the word ‘love’ of course, but Tanaka told them that when they were older and wiser like he was, they would understand. His partner watched the whole thing unfold and couldn’t stop laughing the next time he looked at them. He would blush and sweep his partner up in his arms to distract them while he carried them back to their table for dinner.
After everyone had eaten enough and it was time for speeches, Nishinoya delivered his flawlessly. It was as dramatic and overzealous as the two of them were, and it depicted all of their childhood adventure in exaggerated detail. Tanaka’s partner was laughing at the faces Suga and Daichi were making at the memories of having to police the two men around. Noya actually made Tanaka cry a little, so he was eager to cover it up with him and his partner’s first dance. He’d picked ‘Heaven’ byBryan Adams for obvious reasons, and he felt every single one of those reasons when he held their hand in his.
Ennoshitawas pretty lax about planning the entire wedding. The only thing he wanted to have some control over was the photographer, but he found one to his liking. He took lots of pictures himself of course, and a few videos, because he planned on documenting the happiest day of his life properly. He couldn’t stop looking at his partner. All the time he spent paying attention to anyone else seemed long and excessive to him, he just wanted to pay attention to how beautiful and his they were today. When they reminded him that they would always be just as his from here on out, he relaxed a little, letting you joke around with his naturally flirtatious ex-teammates. He was happy to see all of them really, they had a big impact on his life after all. Volleyball changed his attitude and in many ways motivated him to ask his partner out in the first place, so he was thankful that all of the guys could make it.
It was a fairly normal wedding and the color scheme involved a lot of springy colors and flowers. The pink flower pinned to Chikara’s jacket made his brown eyes stand out, and he just adored the way his partner looked. He was really nervous about the dance, so he wanted to get it out of the way towards the beginning of the reception. He was worried about remembering the steps him and his partner had practiced, butwith‘Marry Me’ by Train actually playing in the background this time, it seemed to come more naturally to him.
Kinoshita was pretty much a nervous wreck the day of his wedding, but in a good way. He buttoned his shirt unevenly the first time, tripped into the limo, blinked inhalf the pictures, and nearly covered himself in a plate of appetizers. But it was so normal of him that his partner loved it, he was so cute. His partner had plannedpretty much the whole thing, all the way down to the yellow color scheme. He’d been so worried about messing up their wedding, but he could neverreally do that. Plus he had Ennoshita at his side as best man to help him along if he ever froze or almost did something really stupid. But he survived the whole day pretty well and had a lot of fun. He even stopped being nervous for a littlewhile there, until it came timeto really dance with his partner. He swallowed anxiously as they pulled him out to the dance floor and he wrapped his arms around them. When ‘Better Together’ by Jack Johnson started playing and his partner smiled at him though, all the butterflies went away. He took a deep breath and pressed his forehead to theirs, grinning the entire song.
Narita was pretty excited for his wedding day, and it didn’t disappoint.Him and his partner spent a lot of time planning it; all the food, the blue and gold colors, where everyonewould sit. It had been a lot to do, but how well they’d done it wasreally paying off. Everyone was having a great time including the two newly weds, Narita didn’t stop smiling the entire day. Not even when Kinoshita plastered more embarrassing childhood pictures than he knew existed of himon a giant projector screen. He had actually been kind of nervous about seeing all his friends again, but he had a lot of fun with them. His favorite part of the night was him and his partner’s first dance though. He’d wanted‘All of Me’ by John Legend to be their wedding song the first time he heard it, and now that it was happening, it was more perfect than he could have ever imagined.
Hinata and his partner ended up with the cutest wedding pictures, mostly because he just couldn’t keep his hands off of them. Almost nobodycould get him to look at the camera, so most of the photos were adorably candid. Hinata handled the stress of wedding day easily, doing all that he could to make sure that his partner was enjoying themselves and not worrying about anything. They would have a pretty outdoor reception with white and yellow flowers, lights tangled through the trees andhanging off the sides of the tent that covered the seating area. Hinata spent a lot of time dancing with his partner, and when he wasn'tdoing that he was busy trying to get Kenmaup and out of his seat. The only way he was successful was when he let Kenma dance with his partner, but he was totally fine with it. Kageyama gave a cute, snarky best man speech that ended with how much Hinata had changed him as a person.Shouyou’s partner could tell that meant a lot to the red head by how hard he squeezed their hand.
Natsu also gave anadorable speech about how much she loves her brother and how amazed she is that hefound someone willing to marry him. It made everyone laugh and Hinata put her in a playful headlock, telling her how badly hewas going to embarrass her at her own wedding someday. After he was done messing around with his sister, he asked his partner to share their first dance with him. They chose the song‘I Do It for You’ by Bryan Adams because it pretty accurately summed up the fact that all of the crazy things Hinata did were to keep his partner happy.
Kageyamawas in such a good mood that everyone seemed to notice. He was all smiles all day, from getting ready before the ceremony to dessert at the reception. Everyone was sure to take a lot of pictures, probably to prove to other people that his smile was actually incredibly handsome and sincere that day. But he couldn’t really help it and he hadn’t even notice the grin that was plastered on his face all day. He was just happy, and he had every reason to be. Today was the dayhe officially got to tell his partner that he wantedto spend the rest of his life withthem, he never thought he’d be able to say that to anyone. He said ‘I do’ so quickly on the alter that everyone got a good laugh out of it, and he had kissed his partner the second he’d been granted permission to do so. Kageyama hated pda, but he couldn’t seem to stop kissing them in that moment right there in front of all thosecheering people. His giddiness carried over into the reception where he laughed during Hinata’s speech and even let his partner share a dance with Oikawa. He was eager to steal them back, though.
The color scheme was mostly cooler tones; blues, greens, and purples with little white accents. Kageyama had been pretty laid back withthe planning process, not reallybeing able to make heads or tails of anything. The only thing he insisted on was that there be milkshakes during dessert. And after dessert when it came time to dance and‘More Than Anyone’ by Gavin Degraw started playing, Tobio wound himself a little choked up for the first time all day. He was still smiling though, even as the tears threated to spill out of the corners of his eyes.
Tsukishimawas yet to make a rude sarcastic remark, and the actual ceremony was already over. It was pretty amazing how outwardly happy he was; hugging everyone and laughing animatedlywith peopleabout pretty much anything. He even took abunch of best man pictures with Akiteru before the reception, and there were some cute ones of his partner stealing his glasses from him. He of course took plenty with Yamaguchi too, because his best friend would have been his best had he not had a brother who loved with all of his heart. They both gave speeches though, both filled with jokes and funny little stories they had accumulated over the years. Some of them made Tsukishima cringe, but he held his tongue and just shook his head at is partner and everyone else’s laughter, swearing up and down that he would get the both of them back.
The overall wedding was indoor and lowkey. The colors were mostly greens with a pale pink accent, and the food was simple things that both Tsukishima and his partner really liked. During dessert Tsukki spent a pretty decent amount of time at the kid’s table explaing the long story of the triassic period, to which they all listened intently while eating their ice cream. His partner was almost sad to see him leave the kids when it was time for them to dance, but the way he smiled at them made them forget about everything else. Their song was ‘This’ by Ed Sheeran and the soft tone left them thinking about nothing else but their future with their tall, sarcastic, incredibly loving husband.
Yamaguchilooked damn good on his wedding day. Him and his partner together were pretty much magazine worthy, even Tsukki agreed. His hair was mussed stylishly and the breeze that accompanied their picture taking was actually working to everyone’s advantage. His slight tan made his freckles stand out and his hair tickled his partner'sskin every time he bent down to kiss them. Their entire wedding was media worthy; the purple, orange, and green flowers still showing brightly even as it got dark outside. Yamaguchi loved the fresh air and the string lights that decorated the trees. But one of his favorite parts of his wedding (next to actually getting married to the love of his life) was definitely when Tsukki tapped his glass with his knife and got up to talk about how much Yamaguchi actually meant to him. Tadashi was stunned beyond tears, and he couldn’t get up to hug Kei fast enough after he had finished. His partner was actually the one crying and Tsukishima laughed at them, chuckling about how he was supposed to be making them both happy.
Everyone decided that they might as well stick with the emotional theme and get to their first dance, and Yamaguchi pulled his partner up with a slight, characteristic blush. It wasn’t really visible in the dim yellow lighting, but his partner could see it and it made their heart jump. Yamaguchi pressed his lips to the top of their head while he swayed them back and forth to ‘Love Someone’ by Jason Mraz, mesmerized by how lucky he was to be married to someone so wonderful.
Kuroo was on his best behavior for wedding day. His tie was snug, his smile was big, and his hair was just about hasneat as it could be. He tried to tame it, he really did. His partner didn’t mind though because their husband just wouldn’t the same without that hair of his. But he did look really good in that red tie. They had known that red had to be one of their wedding colors, he had looked so good in it back in high school after all. Kuroo’s high school friends were actually one of his favorite things about his wedding, the volleyball team had to come and see their captain tie the knot after all. They took a really cute team picture together that Kuroo’s partner was sure would end up in their house somewhere. They were also really excited for Kenma’s best man speech. They knew how much it was going to mean to Kuroo, it had taken a lot of courage for the shy setter to accept being best man after all. So when Kenma did stand up and clear his throat and timidly explain how much Kuroo really meant to him as a friend, Tetsurou could not stop smiling. He knew Kenma appreciated him, but he’d never heard it from him like this before. It made him indescribably happy, and all he could do was smother his partner in his arms and enjoy it while it lasted.
Once Kuroo had sufficiently strangled Kenma in a hug after he was finished, everyone got back to dancing and snacking on dessert. Kuroo had insisted upon a huge dessert spread, it was really the only thing he had demanded during the planning process. And after him and his partner danced to ‘Faithfully’ by Journey, he got right to the sweets, teary eyed and all. When his partner teased him about it he retaliated by dotting their nose with icing, and kissing it off when they whined about it.
Iwaizumi WILL GET MARRIED BEFORE OIKAWA but the teal and white color scheme will be saved for Tooru. Iwaizumi isn’t really into something that bright for his special day anyways, but he would still like shades of blue. Some on the darker more muted side, as long as his partner is okay with it. Because honestly I think he’d take a back seat with planning his wedding. He’ll definitely do all he can to help, he doesn’t want them to be stressed out, but he wants them to pick the things that make them the happiest. He’s sure he’ll agree with most of the things they want. They’re already getting married to him, he doesn’t think he can get much happier.
The actual wedding would be on the smaller side, probably outdoors during late summer. Lot’s of little flowers and pretty string lights over the dance floor. Iwaizumi would enjoy himself at his wedding reception. He’d be laid back and on the more playful side, just riding the high of the day. He’d grin stupidly when his partner smeared frosting across his nose, and he’d even give in to everyone cheering and share a humorous little best man dance with Oikawa. Tooru definitely prepared the world’s greatest speech for his best friend, and while everyone else was busy laughing at the jokes, Iwaizumi was having a hard time holding back the tears. When everything quieted back down and it was time to dance to their song though, he would definitely cry. He couldn’t help it, they were so perfect and his, right there in his arms while'thinking out loud'played in the background.
Yakustill couldn’t believe he was getting married as he buttoned up his shirt the morning of the wedding. He had never really considered himself one to settle down, let alone find someone he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. But he had, and he knew it. He was definitely happy, overwhelmingly so, and he really hoped his partner felt the same way about him. But after the day was over, he knew they did. He knew it the first time he got to see them that day, they were beautiful. And they looked at him exactly the same way he looked at them. He surprisingly had a lot of fun at his wedding reception, it would go down as own of the best nights of his life. All of the people he loved were there; Kuroo was his best man, although Lev did get to sneak in a speech before dessert. It was actually Yaku’s favorite; it made him laugh and reminded him of how good a friend Lev really is.
Yaku participated in his wedding pretty gracefully. Everything went well and he was calm and collected the entire day. The color scheme was natural; mostly blues and beiges. Yaku’s tie was almost a navy color, but it was off by the time him and his partner had their first dance. He swayed them back and forth to‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ by Ingrid Michaelson, whispering how much he loved them in their ear.
